Amelia Farm Trust

Amelia Farm Trust, a charity that provides agricultural activities to disadvantaged young people in the Vale of Glamorgan, were delighted to receive our donation of £9,757.

Thanks to our support, Amelia Farm Trust have been able to create a brand new outdoor play area for children that use the facility. 

Consisting of an adventurous timber trail, specialist swing and safety surfacing, the new play area will make a huge difference to hundreds of young people for many years to come.

Karen Turnbull, Director at Amelia Farm Trust said: "As a small charity, we are absolutely thrilled by the award of this grant from Morrisons Foundation which we have used to create a new green play area that will meet the needs of disadvantaged children.

“This funding has helped us to enhance our facilities and provide a fun outdoor environment which is safe for children of all abilities to learn and enjoy nature".

Pam Bowen, Community Champion at the Morrisons store in Barry presented the donation to the charity saying: “It’s an absolute pleasure to present this grant from the Morrisons Foundation.  Amelia Farm Trust is a really wonderful local charity that provides vital support to disadvantaged children from all across the community.

“Supporting local charities at the heart of our community is what the Foundation is all about and I’m thrilled to be able to visit Amelia Farm Trust to see first hand the remarkable new play area that we have funded, it really is a great place to visit.”
