Candlelighters

We’ve donated £95,000 to Candlelighters in Leeds, a charity dedicated to fighting cancer and improving the experience of young patients throughout the region.

The support from the Foundation has contributed to the much needed renovation of the charity’s Eckersley House, a home-from-home cottage that enables families to stay together when visiting Leeds Children’s Hospital.  Thanks to the completion of the work on the cottage, families from across Yorkshire and the Humber will now have their own private bedrooms in a calm and quiet place, making their experience as comfortable as possible.

The donation was presented by Roger Stone, Morrisons Community Champion in the Leeds Merrion Centre store.
