Centrepoint is a national charity which supports homeless young people across the UK. The charity offers safe and secure accommodation, and helps to ensure that every young person has access to training and education which will help them live independent, fulfilling lives.

A £62,910 donation will help Centrepoint to deliver a programme of activities for young people in Barnsley by offering tailored learning experiences leading to employment or education.

Faye Edmundston from Centrepoint was delighted to receive the donation. She said: "Funding from the Morrisons Foundation has been hugely important in enabling us to develop our services for homeless young people in Barnsley. The generous grant we were awarded will be used to create a dedicated space for young people to take part in learning activities designed to help them secure a job and put them on the path to lifelong independence."

"Centrepoint aims to support every young person we work with into their own home and a job. To do this, we rely on the support of funders like the Morrisons Foundation to help us achieve this ambition. Thanks to this donation young people in Barnsley will be able to access dedicated and specialist support to put them on the path to a life free of homelessness."
