We were very happy to support the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity with a grant of £2,140 to enable a new, vital, flight helmet to be bought for their critical care crew.
Tim Ross-Smith, Air Operations Officer for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity said: "We're really grateful to Morrisons Foundation for their grant to fund a flight helmet for one of our new crew members. In order to travel by helicopter and reach patients as quickly as possible, all crew members need specialist helmets to keep them safe.
"This grant is helping to make sure our Critical Care Doctors and Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care can bring the most advanced pre-hospital emergency care to everyone who needs us, in the fastest possible time."
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity saves lives by bringing the emergency department to dangerously ill and injured patients in our communities.
Their specialist critical care doctors and paramedics carry out advanced clinical procedures at the scene, bringing the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medicine to critical patients as quickly as possible, covering a large area comprising Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire.
