National Literacy Trust

We're supporting a programme of activity to help boost literacy levels in Bradford. Previously known as the Bradford Literacy Campaign, our donation of £197,000 has supported the programme during its rebrand to Bradford Stories. 

One project to be created as part of the initiative is Bradford Literacy Champions - training local people to become Literacy Champions in their own communities. Since launching in November 25 people have been trained as Champions and are starting to work on exciting projects to engage others with literacy. 

The Bradford Schools Literacy Pledge has also been launched, working with local schools to run regular story sessions for parents.
