OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity
OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour, a charity that provides support to families who have children with brain tumours, were delighted to receive a donation of £1,000.
Thanks to our support, OSCARS’s has been able to produce bespoke ‘'Booster Boxes' of gifts for children with brain tumours and their siblings while undergoing treatment or recovering from it in York.
An OSCAR’s Booster Box brings a boost to families when they need it the most. OSCAR’s is the only charity to provide tailored gift boxes to children affected by brain tumours and their siblings. The charity’s staff listen to families, ensuring gifts, toys, books are carefully chosen and tailored for their children.
Jessica Shipp, Head of Trust Fundraising and Strategic Development said: "Morrisons Foundation is supporting our Booster Box project, which sends personalised gifts to children across the UK who have been affected by a childhood brain tumour diagnosis.
"The boxes create moments of joy and normalcy for children during treatment and also act as a gateway to additional support services. Siblings are included in the support process which is a unique and valued approach.
"Receiving a Booster Box provides emotional and psychological benefits, creating lasting positive impacts for children and their families."
