Solent Rescue

The Morrisons Foundation has donated £20,000 to Solent Rescue, a sea rescue and lifeboat charity based at Lepe Country Park in Exbury, Hampshire.

The support from the Morrisons Foundation has enabled the charity to purchase a new ‘Launch and Recovery’ tractor. This much-needed vehicle which will ensure that the charity’s volunteers will be able to continue to provide lifesaving to those at sea who are in need of emergency help.

Wayne Monks, Fundraising Officer at Solent Rescue was thrilled to receive the donation. He said, "Solent Rescue are extremely grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for the grant which was used to purchase our new Launch and Recovery tractor.”

“This has been a useful asset to the unit enabling us to continue launching our boats from the beach at Lepe Country Park, therefore enabling us to be on the water to assist people when needed when we are on duty weekends and bank holidays from Easter to September.”
