Worcester Snoezelen, a specialist multi-sensory leisure service for people with disabilities and additional needs, were delighted to receive our donation of £8,892.
Thanks to our support, Worcester Snoezelen will be able to develop a new ‘Star Sensory Room’ at their facility.
The new room will feature sensory equipment, interactive walls, fibre optics and UV carpets and mats, providing hours of fun and development activities for hundreds of people with disabilities.
Jane Roberts-Wilkes, Chief Officer at Worcester Snoezelen said: “This project will have such a positive impact on families and individuals who need specialist multi-sensory spaces.
“We are so excited for our members to enjoy the magic of this room with twinkly lights, touch activated equipment and the warmth of the waterbed. Thank you for this incredible support."
Snoezelen therapy is also known as Controlled Multisensory Environments, or MSE and was named by two Dutch therapists in the 1970s.
Worcester Snoezelen welcomes people of any age with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and dementia, offering a range of support services including: sensory rooms; accessible art workshops, hydrotherapy, activity days and clubs.
